Community is one of our values, and we love nothing better than supporting our local community….we sponsor Morpeth Town Juniors FC - the Wildcats!

Morpeth Town Juniors have been working alongside Talentheads to further promote female football in the town.

Hot on the heels of England’s Lionesses winning the Euros last year, there is a growing interest for girls and women to play football and whilst there is not (currently) a women’s team in Morpeth, the junior club boasts 9 female squads ranging from the pre-team U6s & U7s up to our U15 side. That represents over a quarter of the club’s teams and the likelihood is that new girls’ teams will be launched every year going forward.

In light of this growing activity, Juniors’ Chairman Paul Barwick met with Sam and Camille to discuss a link between the two and Talentheads is now the club’s official sponsor for its female section.

A further initiative the club hopes to announce very soon is some participation events over the summer for women to try out the game. These would be open to all with the intention of it being a bit of fun, but you never know, if interest and the numbers grow, we may yet see a women’s team being launched in Morpeth.

The Juniors and Talentheads will work together in promoting this event and longer term, it would be great to have this gap in the town’s football offering filled with the launch of Morpeth Town Ladies and with great news that they are launching A new women's team for the up coming 2023/24 season. A joint initiative between Morpeth Town FC and Morpeth Town Juniors FC.

The club would like to express their thanks to Sam and her team, not only for their support of the girls’ section at the club, but for also adding some expertise and content to its digital platforms over the last few months.
